Mark Fisher


 

Mark started full-time in emergency medicine in 1980, obtaining and holding a Paramedic Certification for greater than 20 years and caring for the critically sick and injured, with extensive training in the management of acute pain. 1989 brought the opportunity to be one of 4 Full-Time Paramedics employed at the onset and initiation of Parkview Samaritan’s Emergency Helicopter Flight Service.

Also in 1989, Mark obtained his nursing license, as a Registered Nurse, later to be employed by Cardiology Consultants as a physician extender for Dr. Mark Jones for a 5-year period.

Mark became a Physician Assistant in 1997, graduating with Honors and as Class President. He immediately started working exclusively and extensively in the emergency department where among other duties and procedures, managed acute and chronically painful conditions.

He has participated in many seminars in emergency medicine as an instructor, speaker, and teacher. He continues to pursue a Therapeutic Massage certificate, with training in alternative therapies and modalities with regards to caring for chronic painful conditions.

Mark has been employed with Summit Pain Management since 2015 and participates in providing care in our clinician office setting as well as assisting with invasive procedures.
